<<  Liamchine / Les Démons (2018) - music for theater

Liamchine is a short piano fantasy commissioned by Sylvain Creuzevault for his theatrical adaptation of Dostoïevski’s opus Les Démons. The piece is literally based on a satirical musical scene depicted by Dostoïevski in which Liamchine, a secondary character gifted improviser, mocks the French national anthem La Marseillaise by progressively contaminating it with the popular German lieder O Du Liebe Augustin.

Recorded by Véronique Ngo Sach-Hien at the conservatory of music of Montbéliard, October 30-2018.
